Iraq’s Najaf Criminal Court sentenced two lawyers to two years in prison on Wednesday for taking money from a client while claiming it would be paid to the province’s chief criminal judge, a security source told Shafaq News.
A third lawyer was released after authorities found insufficient evidence to support the charge, according to the source.
