Kirkuk International Airport announced on Wednesday that direct flights between Kirkuk and Cairo will begin on October 4 as part of efforts to expand its destination network and improve air connectivity.
In June, the airport operated its first direct flight to the Turkish city of Trabzon, while also receiving its first flight from a local carrier.
