Shafaq News/ The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said today, Monday, that his country is subjected to policy of "knees on necks" by the administration of US President Donald Trump, in reference to the murder of American citizen George Floyd.
Rouhani said during an economic meeting that his country had gone through the last three years of "steadfastness and patience" after the United States withdrew from the nuclear agreement and applied the policy of "knees on the neck", noting that this is, "Washington's policy in the world today."
Rouhani stressed that the United States aims from the policy of "knees on the necks" to deprive the Iranian people of meeting their basic needs of energy, water, electricity, gas, food and medicine, and to maintain pressure until "changing the Islamic system in Iran."
He added, "After more than two years of pressure, thanks to the instructions of the wise leadership, the people's cohesion, the government managed to repel the Americans and not allow their knees stifle the neck of the Iranian nation."
It is noteworthy that the United States has re-imposed economic sanctions against Iran within its policy of "maximum pressure" on Tehran, following its withdrawal from the nuclear agreement with Iran in May 2018.
