Shafaq News/The former US president's envoy to the international coalition against ISIS, Brett McGurk has accused Turkey of not closing its borders to ISIS recruits.
"I presided over the campaign against ISIS," McGurk said in an interview with MSNBC. "So I say that 40,000 ISIS jihadists from more than 110 countries around the world have entered Syria across the Turkish border."
"It was the succession of ISIS on the Turkish border, so we worked with Turkey on this issue to close the border to ISIS jihadists, but Turkey has not closed the border and said it cannot."
"When the Kurds took control of part of the border, Turkey built the walls and closed the border,” he added.
