Shafaq News / The IDF Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi said on Wednesday that Israel cannot allow Iran to station militarily in Iraq.
This came in a speech by Kochavi on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the death of the former chief of staff, Amnon Lipkin Shahak, according to "Yediot Ahronot newspaper ".
Kochavi pledged that the Israeli army would not allow Iran to be stationed in Iraq.
He added “The Quds Force (affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards) operates in Iraq ... and sophisticated weapons pass there monthly, and we cannot leave this situation without interference."
Israel accuses Iran of transferring long-range weapons and missiles to Iraq, and from there to Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
