Shafaq news/ The United Arab Emirates has made a “huge mistake” in reaching a deal toward normalizing ties with Israel, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said in a televised speech on Saturday.

He warned the Gulf state against allowing Israel to have a “foothold in the region.”

He added, "They believed that getting closer to USA and Iran's enemies would provide them with security, and they are wrong."

It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump announced in a joint statement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, that “Israel and the UAE have reached an agreement to establish formal relations between them.”
