Shafaq News/ On Saturday, the Israeli military officially announced the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah during an airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs on Friday.

Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army spokesperson, stated on X, that Yesterday, the Israeli forces eliminated Hassan Nasrallah, the leader and one of the founders of Hezbollah, as well as Ali Karaki, the commander of Hezbollah's southern front, along with several other senior leaders.

Adraee added that the “airstrike was carried out by Israeli Air Force jets based on precise intelligence provided by military intelligence agencies. The operation targeted Hezbollah's central headquarters, located underground beneath a residential building in the southern suburbs of Beirut.”

“Nasrallah was the key decision-maker in Hezbollah, having the final say on every strategic decision and, in some cases, even tactical ones.”

Adraee issued a warning, stating that the Israeli military will continue targeting anyone who promotes or becomes involved in actions against Israel.

Hezbollah has yet to confirm the Israeli allegations.
