France investigates a new variant of COVID-19

Shafaq News/ A new variant of the novel Coronavirus has reportedly emerged in France.

French authorities detected a new coronavirus variant in the northwestern region of Brittany, the health ministry said.

The Ministry added the new variant did not appear to be more severe or transmissible than others, based on the preliminary studies.
