Protesters storm Kuwaiti consulate in Basra, replace flag after cross-border strike

Dozens of protesters stormed the Kuwaiti consulate in Basra on Tuesday, Shafaq News correspondent reported, adding that the protestors teared down the Kuwaiti flag and raised the Iraqi flag instead.

Security Forces fired tear gas to push the crowd back, the correspondent noted.

The breach followed a missile strike launched from Kuwaiti territory that killed everyone inside a house in Khor al-Zubair in the Safwan district. A security source told Shafaq News the house belonged to an armed faction and was being used as a gathering point at the time of the attack.
