The Iraqi Resistance Coordination, a coalition of Iran-aligned armed factions, called on the government Thursday to sanction Jordan by closing border crossings and halting oil supplies, accusing it of facilitating attacks on Iraqi forces.
In a statement, the group said Jordan serves as a launch point for “enemy aircraft” targeting Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and Iraqi security forces, urging Baghdad to take “decisive measures” against Amman.
The factions also criticized Saudi Arabia and the UAE over their stance in the war on Iran, accusing them of aligning with US and Israeli operations. They said they had targeted US forces in Kuwait early in the conflict but avoided damaging economic infrastructure.
At the same time, the group called for avoiding harm to Qatar’s economic interests, citing its position on the Palestinian issue, while warning countries cooperating with US and Israeli operations of potential consequences.
