Security forces on Tuesday downed two unmanned aerial vehicles over Kirkuk, in northern Iraq, according to the Security Media Cell (SMC).

In a statement, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, head of the Cell, confirmed that army units and Federal Police forces brought down the drones at 09:45 a.m. local time.

Forensic teams were immediately deployed to the crash site to collect evidence and examine the wreckage.

No party has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
