Major General Bakr Ahmed has assumed the position of director general of intelligence and security at Iraq’s Ministry of Defense, a security source told Shafaq News on Thursday.
Ahmed was appointed to replace Lieutenant General Idris Khudair Saeed after Saeed was diagnosed with a serious, incurable illness, the source explained.
