Iraqi security forces detonated a drone under controlled conditions in southern Babil province on Tuesday, local authorities said, after it fell in a remote area without causing damage.
The province’s media crisis cell said the blast heard in the south was a “controlled detonation” carried out by Babil police command after the drone came down in al-Hashimiya district, in the al-Tiyas area.
