Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a drone over the city of Samarra in Saladin province early Tuesday.
According to a security source, the drone was engaged at around 3:40 a.m. by air defense units stationed near the municipal council building close to the Samarra nationality office.
The drone was detonated midair without causing any casualties or material damage.
