Shafaq News- Kuwait
A drone attack on Friday hit Kuwait’s Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, the country’s largest oil facility, igniting fires in several operational units without causing casualties, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said.
Emergency and firefighting teams moved to contain the refinery fires and prevent their spread, while measures were taken to protect workers and infrastructure.
The company said it is monitoring air quality with environmental authorities and reported no immediate environmental impact, but did not say whether refinery operations were affected.
Although the company did not specify who was behind the strike, Kuwait’s military said earlier that air defenses were intercepting missile and drone attacks, after Iran launched the 91st wave of its Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israeli-linked sites and US assets across the Middle East.
