Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani began on Wednesday a new round of meetings with the Kurdish parties.

An informed source said that Barzani met this morning with the Amir of the Islamic Group in the Kurdistan region, Ali Bapir.

Barzani had visited on Tuesday Sulaimaniyah city and met with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Change Movement.

Dilshad Shihab, the adviser to the president of Kurdistan region, Nechirvan Barzani said on Tuesday that the aim of the latter's visit to Sulaimaniyah is to unify the position of political parties on the situation in Iraq.

Shihab said at a press conference held after the end of Barzani’s meeting with Change movement and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Sulaimaniyah today that the goal of Barzani's visit to Sulaimaniyah, and meeting with parties is to unify the region's position on the changes taking place in Iraq and the region, noting that Barzani's meetings will continue, including political parties in the region with a view to achieving full consensus on important issues.

He added that important decisions were taken during the meetings, describing the presidency of the region as a tent that gathers the political parties under it.

Shihab said that the Kurdish political parties unanimously on how to deal with the current situation in Iraq, pointing out that Barzani hold a project to form Kurdistan Alliance in Baghdad.
