Shafaq News / The Minister of the Region for Components Affairs in Kurdistan Region, Eden Maarouf called on Wednesday the need to review and make amendments to the legitimate law on protecting the rights of components in the region for 2015.

Marouf said in a speech during "Metro" forum in Erbil that this law is important for the components in the region.

He added that this law should be activated and includes review and amendments should be made to it because some components complain about it.

The Component Rights Protection Act of Kurdistan Region provides the safeguarding of the rights of the national components of the Turkmen, Chaldean, Syriac, Assyrian, Armenian, religious groups, Christian community, Yazidi, Sabean, Mandaean, Kakai, Shabak, Faili, Zoroastrian and other citizens of the region.
