Shafaq News / The official of the Elections Corporation of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Khosrow Goran said that the legislative elections law was passed despite that the Kurds didn’t approve it in the House of Representatives, adding that the law inflicts the least damage to KDP relative to other parties.

Goran said in press statements that it was planned that Iraq would be one constituency, or one province would be 18 electoral constituencies.

He added that KDP, for the sake of Kurdish unity, boycotted voting on the new election law, even though it inflicts less damage to the party compared to other political parties.
