Shafaq News / "Mahdi Mir Ashrafi", head of the Iranian Customs Authority and Director of Customs in Kurdistan Regional Government ,Samal Abdel Rahman, discussed ways to develop cooperation in the customs field and facilitate trade between the two sides.

Mir Ashrafi's discussions during his meeting with Abdel Rahman - on the sidelines of the conclusion of the training course for employees of Iraqi Kurdistan Customs in Tehran today - included the transfer of customs experiences in the exchange of information and X-ray images and the implementation of Convention on International Transport of Goods "TIR", in addition to standardizing work hours in holidays and transit goods.

The head of the Iranian Customs Authority suggested that the Serbian Bandana border crossing be formalized as part of efforts to develop intra-regional trade and tourism.

For his part, the Director of Iraqi Kurdistan Customs expressed his appreciation for holding the training course that included training 27 employees from the region, concluded at the end of the activities a memorandum of training cooperation with the head of the Iranian customs.
