Shafaq News / The Tourism Authority of the Kurdistan Region decided to reopen the tourist areas and facilities in Erbil Governorate on Thursday.
Tourism Authority spokesman Nader Rosti told Shafaq News that the crisis cell in Kurdistan Regional Government has authorized the governors to order lifting the curfew due to the Covid-19 pandemic, adding that, the province decided to reopen the tourist areas in the city.
The Tourism Directorate of Erbil issued a package of precautionary measures to be applied in tourist areas, including: prohibiting hookah and preventing group parties; limiting the number of chairs to four per table, while keeping at least 3 meters distance between the tables; limiting the use of tools to only once. The tables should be covered with nylon and continuously changed.
Moreover, as by the precautionary measures list issued today: the facilities must be well aired and opened around the clock and new air-conditioning must be installed, tools and food menus must be cleaned and sterilized periodically, a worker must be assigned to clean and sterilize the restrooms and the policy of mandatory masks and gloves to be implemented for both, guests and workers.
Instructions also include sterilizing elevators, hosting the guests in open areas if available, closing at 1:00 am and placing Valet Parking Service systems in car parks.
