President Barzani congratulates Al-Zaidi on winning Iraqi parliament confidence vote

Shafaq News- Erbil/ Baghdad

The Kurdistan Region President, Nechirvan Barzani, on Thursday, congratulated the Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi on winning the Iraqi parliament confidence vote.

Barzani expressed hope that the new administration would succeed in serving all Iraqis and advancing security, stability, development, and prosperity.  

After parliament confirmed his cabinet, Al-Zaidi vowed to fight corruption, adding that the vote reflected "the highest national interest, collective spirit, and responsibility."
