Shafaq News/ Ari Ahmed, Director General of the Water and Sewage Department in the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism in Kurdistan Region, announced that the regional government has allocated one billion and 250 million Iraqi dinars to address the water crisis.
In a statement, the ministry quoted Ahmed saying that any citizen who is suffering from water shortage will be supplied by water tankers.
Regarding Erbil, which was significantly affected by the drought, the director of the Department in the region said that several joint and field committees were formed to address the problem of water shortage, calling on residents facing water scarcity to review the nearest municipality department, and the Water department to receive water tankers.
