Shafaq News / A delegation of Italian companies is visiting the Kurdistan region of Iraq in preparation for starting development and service projects, after the Ministry of Trade in the regional government provided all the facilities required for them to open the Italian-Kurdish Center.
In a statement, Fathi Mulla Ali, Advisor for Relations Affairs at the Ministry of Trade in the regional government said, "Based on the policy of opening other gates towards the region, the Ministry has provided facilities to open the Italian-Kurdistan Center for Businessmen in Erbil".
He added, "There is currently a delegation of Italian companies and institutions in Erbil to discuss the possibility of starting some important development and service projects, such as a project for recycling, a project for establishing factories for industrial equipment for solar energy, a glass recycling project, and a leather processing and manufacturing project".
Mulla Ali pointed out that, "these projects are considered environment-friendly industrial projects, and there will be many initiatives related to industry infrastructure in the region and Iraq in the future".
"The current policy of the regional government is to move from the stage of consumption to a new stage, which is the stage of large-scale production. Studies have shown that this step will be the first towards self-sufficiency in the region".
