Shafaq News / The Interior Minister of Kurdistan Region, Reber Ahmed, said that the official departments in the region are working to conduct full transactions of citizens electronically.

Ahmed told reporters that as directed by Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani and the program of the new government, the paper work of citizens' transactions are electronic to ease the suffering, and this has already been done in a number of departments.

He added that the traffic police and passports of the cities of the region are currently working effectively and fast according to electronic frameworks, as well as the issuance or renewal of passports, which took the time of two to three months, now it would take three days to ten depending on the cases.

He added, "For the transactions of traffic departments in Kurdistan according to its general manager, the duration of only 90 minutes is issued to have a driving license and a new car number."

He said that this previously took a week to a month, and is currently working to reduce those ninety minutes even more to be comfortable for the citizens of the region and alleviate their suffering.
