Makjerk ended his visit yesterday to Baghdad, where he met a number of political leaders and discussed the security situation in western Iraq .

He added during his meetings with Iraqi leaders , that the long-term stability requires security measures and political ties , as well as taking the assurances from the Iraqi government to recognize the courageous efforts being made by faithful Iraqi citizens who stand to fight " Daash " elements and other extremist groups , and the integration of these citizens in security structures of the state.

McGurk urged the governments of Baghdad and Erbil to end the arrangements aimed at promoting oil and gas exports from all over Iraq, including oil exports from Kurdistan Region in a way that benefit and interest of all Iraqis on fair and equitablebasis .
