According to a statement carried by the official UAE news agency , seen by "Shafaq News" “ the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the UAE is opposed to any interference in Iraq's affairs and seek towards forming a government of national unity.

The statement said that the ministry "expresses deep concern at the continuing sectarian and exclusionary policies and marginalized groups to basic components of the Iraqi people."
