Shafaq News/ The correspondent of Alsumaria TV channel was seriously injured during his coverage to the demonstrations in the capital Baghdad on Friday.

According to informed sources told Shafaq News, the journalist Hisham Waseem correspondent of Alsumaria was seriously injured in the face after the explosion of a tear gas canister in it.

It’s worth mentioning that a protester died from a head injury after a protest broke up in Baghdad.

Security and medical sources told Shafaq News that the demonstrator was shot in the head during the dispersal of a protest on al-Jumhoriya Bridge leading to the Green Zone.

More than 50 people were wounded after security forces dispersed aprotest at the Green Zone gate using sound bombs and tear gas.
