Shafaq News/ The Integrity Commission announced on Thursday a seven-year prison sentence against the president of the current Martyrs Institution, based on the provisions of resolution 160 of 1983.

The investigation Department in the Commission clarified that the case was referred to the judiciary and that Karkh Criminal Court had issued a judgment in presence of the President of the current Martyrs Institution, on the background of a contract by the Central Advisory Committee in the Foundation with two private companies to invest in the martyr's monument.

It is noteworthy that the Commission had announced earlier this month the issuance of 60 arrest and summon warrants against deputies and local officials on charges of corruption and waste public money.
