“The city has experienced during the past few days 13 incidents within the breaches of the electoral campaign for various competing political entities, including 5 shootings , 2 by ( Knives ) and traffic accidents , pointing to seizing 54 vehicles for violating the terms of traffic safety,” The Deputy Governor of Sulaymaniyah , Awat Mohammed said in an interview with " Shafaq News “.

Sulaymaniyah is experiencing fierce competition between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan led by President Jalal Talabani and Change movement led by Nawshirwan Mustafa, who was a deputy to Talabani before spliting from it and founding his movement .

Change has preceded the Union in Kurdistan Parliament in the elections that took place on 25 of past September in something like a setback for the party , which has a long history in fighting the former regime .

It is scheduled to hold elections of the Iraqi parliament and provincial councils elections and the districts of Kurdistan in 30 of April with the participation of hundreds of entities and rival political parties .
