, Hissou Narmo in his own blood inside his house, while a medical source revealed the seriousness of his health condition, saying that it is likely that the mayor  attempted to suicide.

The security source said, who asked not to be named told "Shafaq News", that "a security force rushed to Narmo’s house found him covered in his own blood inside the house after receiving news from his family and neighbors," adding that "force rushed to the transfer mayor to Shaykhan hospital for treatment" , without that describing the type of his injury.

For his part, a medical source at Shaykhan hospital confirmed that "the mayor’s condition is critical and requires intensive treatment”.

Narmo is a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and has held his position as the mayor of Shaykhan district affiliated to Nineveh, about two years ago.

Shaykhan district is of the disputed areas between Erbil and Baghdad and included by Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution.
