Shafaq News / Activists and eyewitnesses reported on Sunday that clashes renewed between protesters and security forces near Tahrir Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad.

Activists and witnesses told Shafaq News that four protesters were injured, one of them in the head area with rubber bullets and another with   live bullets, from clashes that took place today in al-Khilani Square in central Baghdad.

The capital, Baghdad and the predominantly Shiite areas in the center and south of the country have been witnessing since early October of 2019 protests calling for the removal of the ruling political parties and forces accused by the demonstrators of corruption and association with external parties, as well as holding early elections.
