Shafaq News / The Pentagon revealed that the number of American soldiers who had suffered concussions as a result of Iran firing rockets at their base in Iraq last month had risen to 110.

This outcome is greater than that announced on February 10 on the Iranian attack on Ein al-Assad base in western Iraq.

The Pentagon said in a statement that "all the wounded were diagnosed with light concussions," adding that "77 of them returned to service."

The statement added that "35 soldiers were transferred to Germany for further evaluation, and 25 of them were subsequently sent to the United States."

President Donald Trump had initially announced that there were no casualties among American soldiers after the Iranian missile attack on Ein al-Assad base on the night of January 7-8.

The Pentagon later announced the injury of about 12 soldiers.

Iran launched ballistic missiles at al-Qaeda, in response to the killing of the Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, by a drone on January 3 in Baghdad.
