MP of State of Law coalition , Abbas al-Bayati told “Shafaq News " that “ the Parliament only conducted the first reading of the draft budget today and the Presidency the meeting to Monday to complete the discussion”.

Iraqi Parliament resumed on Sunday its sessions to discuss Iraqi general budget draft at the presence of 164 MPs, while MPs of Kurdistan Alliance and Motahedoun (United) coalition were absent .

The issue of the budget has sparked significant differences among the political forces in the parliament , in particular between the State of Law coalition led by Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki and Kurdistan Alliance , which accuses Baghdad of taking the region's share of the budget as the alliance conditioned to meet its demands in order to attend the sessions.
