Yesterday marks the 11th anniversary of the fall of the Baath regime under the leadership of former President Saddam Hussein by U.S. forces and those allied with it.

Nujaifi said in a statement reported for " Shafaq News " during a meeting with a number of young people yesterday to mark the passage of 11 years since the fall of Baghdad that , "The occupation came on the background of serious mistakes and convictions based on pushing media and false reports to accuse a component of the people and marginalize other sons of the nation , describing " the former regime as not Sunni , and Sunnis do not accept injustice on anyone ."

“Despite our reservations on the constitution, but it has guarantee of freedoms and emphasizes justice , now what is being applied by the Constitution is consistent with the interests of the other and move away from this national spirit ."

" We are with the powerful partnership not weak partnership and will never allow to be second-class citizens ," and expressed regret that " a true partnership is not available as the security agencies are infiltrated , so how militias are allowed to kill citizens in Buhriz , Baghdad belt and other areas ,   without the complicity accountability by some of the security services, " as he put it .
