Maliki has said in an interview published by " Spiegel Online " German website that he had been exposed to many failed assassination attempts ; and that he was subjected to one by poison when he was on a private plane toward Mosul .

Ethel al-Nujaifi wrote on his personal social networking site briefed by " Shafaq News " , that one of the German newspapers published in a meeting with Nuri al-Maliki as saying that he was exposed to an assassination attempt during a visit to Mosul by launching a missile at his plane and pointed out that despite the fact that his plane was equipped with stainless anti-aircraft missiles , but the plane shook strongly .

Nujaifi addressed Maliki, " Mr.Prime Minister if your pilot told you so then you should held him accountable.”

He mocked, " If you were inside the plane and did not know what happened, as the people around you told you what happened , we were   at the airport and there were hundreds of witnesses , we saw the plane shaking because the fool pilot did not follow the directives of the ground dominant and landed in the apron without guidance to collide with three   electricity poles on the outer edge of the yard . "

“It is natural that that plane would shake when its wing hit an electricity pole and I won’t be surprised if the pilot has received a reward because he foiled the assassination attempt ,” he added.

Accusations and counter-accusations have escalated between the partners of the political process with elections approaching in next April, as each side tries to accuse the other while the other defend himself by paying other charges to his rival .
