Shafaq News / The Crisis Cell in Nineveh decided on Tuesday to impose quarantine on one of the governorates' areas after registering a surge in Covid-19 infections.
“Al-Kalwat" area on the right side of Mosul is the first area in Nineveh province to be under quarantine, Shafaq News Agency reporter said.
Our reporter explained that this came after the registration of 22 infections in the province, the majority of which were people coming from Turkey.
Regarding that, Iraqi Ministry of Health announced on Monday, that it had recorded 163 cases of people carrying the illness, 22 of which were in Nineveh, bringing the total number of cases to 4632, including 2811 recoveries and 163 fatalities, while the total cases of cases under treatment amounted 1658.
