Shafaq News/ A security source in Basra province said on Sunday that security forces fired live bullets at demonstrators.

The source told Shafaq News that the protesters blocked roads between al- Zubair district west of Basra and the center of the entire province, indicating that security forces fired live bullets at the demonstrators in Zubair district.

He said the demonstrators blocked the road leading to Khor Al-Zubair port, iron , fertilizers and steel factory, and Umm Qasr port from Khor Al-Zubair side west of Basra.

The source noted that the demonstrators took control of three bridges in Basra after clashes with security forces, namely Khalid Bridge, Al-Kaziza Bridge and the Italian Bridge.
