Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the discovery of six dens belonging to ISIS organization and various explosive materials south of Hamrin mountain range.

“ Diyala Operations Command, led by the Fifth Division with the participation of the popular crowd supported by the army's air force have  launched a wide search south of Hamrin mountain range to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs”, The Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The statement added that the operation was launched from 4 axes in the area of ​​Imam Wees, south of Khanaqin and the adjacent areas achieving the goals set at the beginning of the first hour, which resulted in finding 6 dens containing explosive belts, various equipment, communications devices and food as well as 18 roadside bombs and 3 motorcycles that were destroyed.

The statement pointed out that "this process comes in conjunction with the process of the will of victory to end ISIS presence wherever it exists."
