Mahmoud Othman, a member of the alliance told “Shafaq News ", that "The latter position of Kurdistan alliance did not put a veto on anyone and emphasized the openness on all sides.”

Othman added that “the current elections did not produce any change in the form of the next political process, as there will be three key parties which are; National coalition, Kurdistan blocs and Sunni blocs, as the key positions will be subjected to agreements of the political blocs”.

The blocs of National, al-Arabiya and Motahedoun announced their refusal to the current Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki to take over the post of prime minister for a third session .

Kurdistan alliance has got 62 seats in the elections by an increase of four seats from the current parliament, which ends its authority in the 14th of next month.
