The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs , Rose Nuri Shaways confirmed the possibility of the withdrawal of ministers from Kurdistan Alliance from the federal government if the salaries of the region’s staff won’t be paid.

Shwan Mohamed Taha told “Shafaq News " that " the door of negotiation and dialogue between the federal government and the regional government has not been closed according to Shaways’s statement, any decision on the position of Ministers of the Federal Government and MPs of Kurdistan Alliance MPs has not been issued ."

Taha added that "cutting the salaries is a collective punishment for the people of the region , as the problems and differences can be resolved away from people , especially the employees ."

The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy , Hussain al-Shahristani said a few days ago that the federal government spent the salaries of the staff of the region for January after a delay that lasted for days , which aroused resentment of Kurdistan staff who have threatened to go on strike .

But Shahristani waved to cut salaries for the coming months if the region didn’t export oil from fields through “SOMO” company owned by the federal government .

The Deputy Minister of Finance , Safah al-Deen al-Safi said last Tuesday, that a delegation of the Federal Government and Kurdistan Regional Government agreed to continue meetings to reach a final agreement on the export of oil from Kurdistan Region .

The officials of the region said after the latest negotiations that Baghdad does not object to the export of the region 's oil , but stipulated the supervision of “SOMO” government company on the mechanism of export sales , revenues and deposited the funds in “DFE” American bank then the Federal Ministry of Finance send the share of the region to Erbil .

But the Kurdish party required to deposit the region's share of the proceeds in the branch of Central Bank of Iraq in the region and that Kurdistan Regional Government to be free to dispose its share of the revenue after the ratification of the general budget in the Parliament of the region .
