Barzani was accompanied today by Ashti Hawrami, Minister of Natural Resources , Minister of Finance ,Baez Talabani ,Minister of Planning , Ali al-Sindi.

Iraq threatened on Sunday to take legal action against any buyer of exported oil via a pipeline from Kurdistan to Turkey .

The first shipment was pumped through the pipeline to Turkey’s coast about two weeks ago aboard a tanker to United Leadership despite Baghdad’s opposition, which resorted to international arbitration against Turkey because of facilitating the shipment of oil export.

Iraq says the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO ) is the only party authorized to sell produced crude by the country, including Kurdistan .

The movement data of ships showed that United Leadership ship has sailed from the port of Ceyhan via the Mediterranean and seemed to be destined for the United States but changed course on Friday.
