Shafaq News / The Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety in Iraq announced on Sunday, a new mechanism to prohibit roaming in Ramadan.
On March 17, the Iraqi authorities imposed a comprehensive curfew, among other measures to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus.
According to the official Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Committee decided to lift the curfew in Ramadan from 6a.m. until 7p.m.
The Committee explained that "the decision to lift the curfew during Ramadan excluded specific areas, without indicating the names of those areas.
The National Committee for Health and Safety held a meeting Sunday morning, headed by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, to discuss curfews and support health personnel.
