Shafaq News/ Internet service returned Monday morning to the capital Baghdad and the central and southern areas of Iraq, which is experiencing protests.
This comes within a few hours after the service was shut down Sunday afternoon after a blackout for several days, at a time when the country is witnessing a wave of bloody protests.
Iraqi authorities have previously shut down Internet services to face the wave of protests.
"The authorities are sometimes forced to restrict the Internet when it is used to promote violence, hatred, conspiracy against the country and disrupting public life," said Prime Minister, Adel Abdel Mahdi.
