Shafaq News / Shiite parliamentary blocs in the Iraqi parliament agreed to pass some ministries in Allawi’s obstructed government.

Allawi faces opposition from Shiite and Sunni blocs and the Kurds to pass his government formation, in addition to the demonstrators.

These blocs are boycotting the parliament’s sessions to vote on the new government, which represents an obstruction to achieve the quorum of law half plus one out of 329 deputies to pass the government.

A parliamentary source told Shafaq News, that the Shiite political forces have agreed to vote only on the ministries from the share of the Shiite component and leave the Sunnis and the Kurds after an agreement with them.

He added that the Shiite political forces are moving to form a quorum to pass the new government.
