and explained that this decision is not in his hand, but it is the decision of the citizens of the region and pointed out that Iraq is divided actually at the present time.

Barzani said during an interview with (BBC) , followed by "Shafaq News", that “ he is now busy with the Parliament of Kurdistan Region to work to determine the day of the referendum about the independence of Kurdistan, pointing out that Iraq is actually divided now”.

On the date of the referendum, Barzani stressed that the referendum date does not take but months, indicating that the plans to carry out the referendum are completed , its date reschedule will be determined.

Barzani and senior officials of the Kurd’s statements have increased on the subject of declaration the independence of Kurdistan Region, especially after the recent events in Nineveh province and the rest of the provinces dominated by the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant organization "ISIL” after the sudden withdrawal of the Iraqi security forces, while Peshmarga Kurdish forces moved towards all the disputed areas between Erbil and Baghdad and controlled them.
