A government statement reported for “Shafaq News” that the two sides discussed the latest developments in the findings of peace process and efforts for peaceful solution of the Kurdish issue in Turkey.

The statement quoted Dmartash as saying that “when the peace process progresses in the coming days, it will be the role and duty of Kurdistan Regional Government greater in supporting and helping the peace process”.

Dmartash demanded “Nichervan Barzani to play an important role, such as what he has done of an important role during the previous stages and the start of peace talks and encourage the parties to find satisfactory solutions”.

For his part, Barzani expressed his happiness to the peace moves and the two sides’ efforts for peace and reiterated the supporting position of KRG that always support peace process, and expressed the readiness of KRG to make efforts and do everything in reaching a peaceful solution to the Kurdish issue in Turkey.

He also called at the same time to take advantage of this opportunity and to find peaceful solutions for all parties, and said that peace will serve the interest of the Kurdish and Turkish people.
