Barzani 's statements came during a meeting this morning with the new Turkish consul in the region , Farouk Kaamakja on the occasion of receiving his new duties in the region.

The statement of the regional government quoted Barzani in news briefed by “Shafaq News " , by saying that “ Kurdistan Region will not back down anymore and the Iraqi government cant to deal with the region as a province “.

Barzani stressed the need to address the problems with Baghdad through dialogue and negotiations , pointing out that the issue of sending the budget and cutting the salaries of the staff of Kurdistan Regional Government can’t be discussed with Baghdad .

The statement also quoted Barzani as saying that this is unacceptable and the Iraqi government can’t cut the salaries of the staff of the region and use it as a political pressure paper against Kurdistan Region.

Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Finance revealed on Tuesday, submitting a formal resignation from his post in protest from Baghdad cut of employee’s salaries of Kurdistan region.

Kurdistan Region is suffering from financial scarcity caused stop paying salaries to employees , while officials have accused the federal government in Baghdad of being deliberate not to launch the region 's financial allocations in order to achieve political and economic gains .

The statement of the Region’s presidency noted that Barzani discussed with the Turkish Consul, the political and security situation in Iraq and developments in Anbar province and other areas , the political process and the upcoming elections , highlighting the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad, and attempts to address them through dialogue , especially the issues of the budget and oil export file from Kurdistan Region.

The two sides are negotiating for months to reach an understanding about the Kurdish oil export via a new pipeline extending from the fields of Kurdistan to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean.
