A statement by the prime minister, reported for " Shafaq News " , that Barzani called Erdogan on Monday and congratulated the people of Turkey”.

The statement said that Barzani hoped with the victory of the ruling Justice and Development party , that Turkey is taking steps toward greater economic and political development and democracy to achieve peace process for the Kurdish issue in Turkey and to reach a final solution to the Kurdish issue .

The semi- final results of the Turkish elections resulted in a big victory for the ruling Justice and Development Party , by 45.6 % after counting 98% of the vote , with the continued control of the major Turkish cities .

The Justice and Development Party has won 38 % of the votes in the previous local elections in 2009 .
