A convoy of cars of Blackwater Company had been exposed on 16 September 2007 to shooting at al-Nosour Square in Baghdad led security guards in cars to shoot randomly ; killed and wounded 29 Iraqi civilians happened to be in place .

The representative of the federal prosecution said on Wednesday that "the U.S. Department of Justice are looking on murder charge on Nicholas Slatin , the former security guard in Blackwater Worldwide company; due to his alleged role in the massacre of unarmed civilians in Baghdad in 2007 ," as Assistant Attorney General of the Federal American , Anthony Asuncion   pointed in a meeting of the federal court in Washington that the Justice Department is considering " all options " against Nicholas Slatin including a charge of murder of the first degree.

Three other former guards in Blackwater Company are facing charges in connection with the shooting at al-Nosour Square : Dustin Heard , Evan Liberty and Paul Slouh , charged with killing 14 of 17 , and are scheduled to appear for trial next June.

Prosecutors said in papers presented to the court , they intend to show at trial of " Slatin " that he fired first shots in al-Nosour Square and that he had harbored " enmity " against Iraqi civilians , and explained that he " told some people , that he wanted to " kill as many as possible of Iraqis ( in retaliation for the September 11 attacks ) , " and boasted of killing an elderly Iraqi was carrying a knife in her hand for chopping vegetables.
