Shafaq News / Al-Fateh Alliance revealed the fact that there is a new "Shiite - Sunni - Kurdish" political alliance aimed at returning the resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to power again.
Haneen Qaddo, a member of the coalition told Shafaq News that "media reports that talked about the existence of a new" Shiite - Sunni - Kurdish "political coalition aimed at returning Adel Abdul Mahdi to power again, are inaccurate and there is no such coalition, and work continues to find a new prime minister. "
He added"there are three things that prevent Abdul-Mahdi from returning to power again, which is the Iraqi constitution that supports the peaceful transfer of power and does not allow the return of power to a prime minister who submitted his resignation, and there is a popular rejection of his presence in power."
A report by the American Al-Hurra TV channel revealed on Saturday, the formation of a Shiite-Sunni-Kurdish alliance to re-assign resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to his position again, indicating that the new coalition includes both Al-Fatah coalition led by Hadi al-Amiri and the State of Law coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki in addition to Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Masoud Barzani and the coalition of Iraqi forces led by Parliament Speaker ,Muhammad Al-Halbousi, while pointing to the presence of opposition from Towards Reform, Victory, and Wisdom coalitions to this step.
